How our collaborative approach allows us to better understand our clients’ needs
The Bright Network commercial team works closely with employer partners to understand their needs and then devise creative solutions to help boost their recruitment efforts.
Having been with the team for 18 months, Account Director Sam Abdollahian explains how our collaborative, data-driven approach sets our clients up for success, whilst creating a seamless, meaningful journey for Bright Network’s 700,000+ members.
My start at Bright Network
Having landed my first role in the Early Talent sector 8 years ago, it was clear to me that this was a space where my passion for doing business and making a positive impact were matched.
Bright Network was in its early stages when I first started in the industry, and each year it became clearer that this was an organisation on a positive mission. The tipping point for me was when the pandemic kicked off and I watched from the sidelines as they delivered an initiative (Internship Experience UK) which offered an immersive experience for tens of thousands of students and graduates, in a time where work experience was inaccessible.
Nothing else in the market compared and since then the team has only accelerated their ambition to deliver innovative, market-leading products and services, not only in the UK but globally! As such, when the opportunity to join Bright Network as an Account Director came up, I jumped at the chance and haven’t looked back.
How we work with clients
My role allows me to work with some of the UK’s most exciting and largest graduate employers. In the work I do with clients, I aim to understand what is important to their organisation and match that with the expectations of our members. This creates a journey, which not only successfully finds the right talent for our employer partners, but also creates a meaningful experience for our members.
A natural curiosity to explore the challenges of our clients means we can create a tailored approach to address their needs. We leverage hundreds of millions of data points, to qualify and iterate campaigns and projects to get the best possible result for our clients. The data we use is market-leading, as it also gives us detailed insight into the diversity of the talent pool, and how this is converting through the recruitment stages.
Creating solutions based on data and insights means that there is always transparency throughout the process. I’m able to build recommendations based on evidence of what we have delivered in the past and what we know is currently working. In today’s environment, the market is incredibly competitive for talent, and we need to ensure we are providing our partners with value.

What really stands out for me having joined Bright Network is how fulfilling it is to be part of a team that is relentlessly inquisitive. Being able to focus your energy on what is going to have impact, whilst stretching your skill set is a quality I see throughout the rest of my team.
At Bright Network, we’re always keen to grow professionally and personally, and so giving and receiving feedback is key. This allows us all to learn twice, both in hearing from other people on our own performance and actively watching others to give them quality feedback in return.
In my short time at Bright Network (18 months), I have been amazed by the variety of work I get to do. From initiating, developing, and launching client workshops focused on various threads of D&I; to creating a vision for our agency relationships. The encouragement and collaboration from members of the team has empowered me to turn my ideas into tangible, impactful projects.
